The staff here are super helpful and the setting is AMAZING! This is hands down our top choice when it comes to places to stay in the area - definitely worth checking out! 💫

Being in a self contained accommodation
There was no heating in the bedroom or electric blanket so it was far too cold. Curtains were cheap and cheerful, too short and let the light in. No nets at the windows for privacy so had to keep curtains closed during the day. Just a very basic cabin.

Good starting point for many day trips quiet plenty of space in house
Needs some work could be a much better place with some effort garden needs some work bushes in parking areas over grown some what so parking a bit tight advertises free wi fi but it dosent work and hasn't for a while, house needs an up grade a bit of paint and a new tv and bathroom make over it is a very nice place and with a little effort can be a great place new owners have just taken over so a little confusion eg we were told early check in but didnt happen I think there are several things the old owners didnt tell the new owners and they are slowly finding out. Hopefully they will make the few small changes to give the place a boost

Value for money. Comfortable cottage with all amenities. A quiet location only 10 minutes from Hobart, and convenient to departing for the West coast. Local shopping area excellent and easy to find one's way around. Although it appeared a large park, it was quiet and private. Excellent security . Friendly reception staff who provided us with helpful information (and extra tea bags!)
Too much unnecessary furniture in the bedroom as we were only staying 2 nights (ie large chest of drawers). Would have preferred more room. Also the bedlights for reading were on a different wall (didn't relate to the bed).

a good safe venue for solo female travellers. I liked the swipe card operated gate. staff were very helpful and friendly. a family friendly venue. a good venue to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. close to shopping centres and resourses. a good base location for day trips. good value.
Access was a bit confusing - at first. once you get used to the roads, it wasn't a problem. No access from the main road.

Good location, close to the city. People at reception were very friendly and informative. They gave excellent tips for restaurants and what to do and to see.
We stayed in the Rose Cottage. "Romantic" accomodation does not mean accomodation that desperately needs refurbishing. "Old" furniture can add to the "Romantic" interior, but only when its clean and still in good condition. A mouse running around in our room did not really worry us, but we were a bit upset when we found the poor thing dead in our beer carton the next morning.

Can not find one thing we liked about Hobart Cabins & Cottages
The shower only had a trickle of water coming from it ( less than 1ltr per minute) The towels smelled as if they had been washed in vomit The bed was on wheels and every time we turned in bed it moved There was no airconditioning in the room ( temperature in Hobart was 38deg the weekend we stayed there) There was a fan but it did not work General cleanliness of the cabin was well below standard Would not recommend this place to anyone

The staff were friendly &helpful in most of my dealings with them. The environment was pleasant and the facilities were good. The proximity to the city was easy and there was more than ample information supplied on activities and tourist destinations, both nearby and further afield.
There were a few minor maintenance issues that could have easily and inexpensively been attended to but had not. One of these compromised the security of the cabin. The location was across from what must have been a dog racing track (I assume this because of the noise from haying dogs on the weekend). The cabins are located on a slip/service road running beside Goodwood Road and it was quite difficult to find a way onto this late at night and following a SatNav. Small directional signs would have helped. There seemed to be a little too many written directives in the cabin that made one feel a bit like an irresponsible teenager.

cleanliness
It was not realisticlly represented on Internet when we booked it was under Tulip Cottage but when we received the key it was ordinary small cabin.

It was the loveliest place I've ever stayed, not just because of the charming cabins and the beautiful atmosphere, but because of the staff themselves. As this was my first ever solo holiday, I cannot say how grateful I was to have people that I felt I could go to for any questions I had, or to make suggestions for my stay. The tulip cottage where I stayed was immaculate and had great character, which I absolutely loved. The atmosphere of the park was very open, with the lovely wooden benches around the park, and the family facilities like the bbq and playground. The mountain views were also gorgeous, and being just outside the city gave the feel of getting a glimpse of the true Tasmania. I will definitely recommend Hobart Cabins & Cottages to anyone travelling to Tasmania.
